KitchenAid Variable Speed Corded Hand Blender KHBV53, Matte Black

I just purchased this KitchenAid Variable Speed Corded Hand Blender KHBV53 in matte black. I use this 1-2 times a week. I ordered this immersion blender because my old Cuisinart blender(s) just stopped working. I have had two of those that have broken over time. They both eventually shorted out and they began to smoke. Time to move on!I decided to try the KitchenAid model because of the excellent reviews and because there is only one button to push to blend. I also like the rubberized pan guard because I usually use this immersion blender to make creamy soups, and the enamel coated surfaces of my high-end pots could get scratched by exposed spinning metal blade. I like how easy it is to attach the blender to the motor and how easy it is to attach the pan guard. The unit goes together and comes apart quickly. What really surprised me is how quiet this blender is compared to the Cuisinart model. I think they are comparable in weight and size.Another cool feature is the measuring cup with lid. This makes it very easy to make smoothies and salad dressings, and to store them. The lid fits snuggly and makes the measuring cup useful. This was a well thought out package. We bought this to replace an older Cuisinart blender. This was more sturdy than the one we previously used. The part seem to be well constructed and fit very tight.The guard that is available to put on the bottom allows you to use it in non-stick surfaces that can't handle metal when you are using them to blend hot soups or sauces. This is a nice touch since the wand is full metal.The motor is powerful. Also while there are three speeds you can vary the depth that you push the button and the motor is an infinite variations of speeds.The blade at the bottom isn't just a flat blade there are the two main blades plus two other notches closer to the axis of the blender. This allows for more movement of your product being Blended through the blades so it mixes more evenly and faster.As an added bonus it comes with a mixing cup that fits perfectly for whipping small batches of eggs or whipped cream or smoothies.

This immersion blender is a really good quality for the price! I use this to blend up soups and sauces and it’s super easy to use. And even has a pot protector that is removable depending on what you’re using it to blend. Came super quick highly recommend.
